In cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, we will again be participating in the Iron Mountain Road Patrol program.
Meet at Starbucks in El Dorado Hills @ 9:00 am, we’ll leave by 9:20 am sharp! We’ll head up Hwy 50, to Sly Park where we’ll stop at the Information booth on Mormon Emigrant Rd to pick up the cones, hand-outs, etc.. Set-up about 10:00 am.
We’ll basically be monitoring recreational traffic using the area and handing out informational/safety fliers. We’ll again have a fire pit so bring extra firewood. I’ll check into hot chocolate again, since it was such a big hit last year. While some members man the checkpoint, the others get to explore and play in the snow. Great family fun and snow wheelin’, as hard or easy as you want. Bring a lunch and snow clothes. Open to all 4x4 vehicles, members, prospects, and newbies!
Possible dinner (pizza) stop on the way home. Should be back by 7:00 pm – earlier if no dinner stop.
