Meet at 8:30 am at the McDonalds at Hwy 50 and Hazel Ave. Bring a new, unwrapped gift valued at a minimum of $5.00 (to donate.)
The Toy Run is sponsored by The Highlander’s 4x4 Club and begins at Lake Natoma. We’ll register (tell them you’re with “The Posse”), and buy some additional raffle tickets – they raffle off a lot a great prizes, including a winch!
This event has been going on for 15 years and is very popular with the 4x4 crowd. It’s a great time for socializing and checking out hundreds of custom rigs. Many people decorate their rigs and there is a contest for “Best Decorated.”
Anyone running late can join us before 10:00 A.M. (when the parade leaves.)
There is no off-roading. The parade drives around the Fair Oaks/Granite Bay area for about 45 minutes before returning to Lake Natoma for the raffle, etc... It should wrap up by about 1:00 pm.
After the Toy Run we’ll head to Prairie City OHV Park to play for a couple of hours. Prairie City offers different levels of wheeling and people can do their own thing if they want, or play as a group. It will also provide an opportunity to test out any new modifications to see if everything works. But most importantly, you’ll get a chance to help justify some last minute 4x4 goodies you want for Christmas. For example – “see honey, we’ve got to get a winch (substitute rollbar, lift, etc...) for the safety of the family” J
Then it’s up the hill for a Posse Party at my house in El Dorado Hills. We’ll have Christmas videos and games for the kids, and music, pool, videos, and karaoke for the adults. Bring any 4x4 or comedy videos you have.
We’ll provide Tri-tip, chicken, and hot dogs, as well as beverages. Please bring a side dish or dessert, and any favorite drinks you like. The party will end when it ends!?!?!????????????????????????
If you can’t make the Toy Run/Prairie City but can make the Party, that’s fine! Come over about 5:00 pm. Let’s make the Posse’s 2nd Annual Christmas Party another great one!
