Red Dog Target Shoot!
March 9, 2003
Meet at the McDonald’s on Sierra College Blvd n/o I-80 (Rocklin) at 9:00 am.
This will be a fun day of target shooting and wheelin’ at Red Dog Ravine. Red Dog Ravine is a dry creekbed area with a small creek running through it. There are a couple of areas with good sized, deep holes which are easy to see and avoid. The ravine is located between Colfax and Grass Valley off Hwy 174. Those who want to target shoot can target shoot! Those that want to wheel, can wheel and explore! Or do both! The area is rated as very moderate with a few very difficult optional wheelin' areas.
Pack a lunch and bring your iron (no, not golf clubs!) We’ll set up targets so bring some cans, balloons, etc… Bring whatver (legal) firearms you want to test. Heck, bring BB guns, pellet guns, bow & arrows, and slingshots as well! Don’t forget ear & eye protection. Safety will be a top priority and alcohol & guns just don’t mix, so please – no drinking before or during shooting. Bryan will act as rangemaster this time and advise everyone of any do’s and don’ts beforehand.
Rain or shine!!! Bryan will be bringing an awning, don’t forget chairs, cameras, etc… Bring some extra trash bags for clean-up.
